S-992 strengthens the current Law Against discrimination (LAD) to make it unlawful for an employer to discriminate against employees on the basis of sex by paying a rate of compensation, including benefits, to employees of one sex less than the rate paid to employees of another sex.  The bill also prohibits employers from retaliating against an employee for disclosing information about job titles and salaries. The Legislature passed this law, but Gov. Christie vetoed S-992. Learn more and take action
