The New Jersey General Assembly has passed A-2567, a bill that provides much-needed transparency regarding the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Career (PARCC) tests. The bill will require local districts and the New Jersey Department of Education to publicly post the number of students in each grade level who did not take PARCC tests compared to those who did. The bill has not been voted on in the Senate. NJEA President Wendell Steinhauer issued this statement:
